With only two months left for the SOL to run....I would still try the SOL defense. The burden of proof is on them to prove that this debt is within the SOL, it is not up to you to prove that the SOL has passed. Just my 2 cents. AND are you really SURE it was within SOL?

I was sued on a debt that was probably not within the SOL, but I didn't know that the SOL started when the debt originally became deliquent and was never brought current again. I was going by the date of last activity, which was my last payment, but the account had not been CURRENT for a very long time before that.
