Sounds like a CA attorney. When was this account last current. Date of last activity does not necessarily start the SOL. You need to look at when the account was charged off with the original creditor, then go back to the first 30 late. That starts the SOL, and depending on your state, could put you past the SOL.

These people will take you to the cleaners if you let them. DON'T CALL THEM. Wait for more responses on this. Post your state, and rethink the SOL.

Remember, if they do sue you, burden of proof is on them to provide complete validation of the debt.
