NO a payment DOES NOT restart the SOL. To start the SOL again, there must be an agreement in WRITING, signed by both parties. Some states don't even allow that.
If an account goes deliquent, and is brought CURRENT, that will restart the SOL.

Judgment proof means one of two things. You don't have any assets, or a job that can be garnished OR your assets are exempt from judgment and you do not have a job that can be garnished, or you live in a state that does not allow wages to be garnished.
