Need some advice on what to do about getting a copy of my credit report. I had two large charge-offs recently. I settled one but the other was assigned to a slimy CA. I was not very knowledgable in the area of credit collections SO I pounced on the CA for a multitude of violations of the FDCPA. I know that the CC debt is within SOL but I foolishly sent a limited C&D as well as a request for validation. In return, the CA sent a very professional leter stating that they would request validation from the OC.....that was 2 months ago. I have heard nothing from them since. I know it's just a matter of time before the next A$$hole begins their tirade but I was wondering IF I need to get a copy of my credit report. I do not want to stir up another band of outlaws. I did opt out a few weeks ago. Any ideas or suggetions???
