The OC's CAN continue to call you at work UNTIL you file BK and have a case number. ONCE you have the case number, when they call all you have to do is give them the case number and they will stop. It is illegal for them to contact you (at work or at home) once they receive notice of your filing BK. You have to realize that it may take a few days for your filing to be entered into their system to take you off the call list.

IF you get one that is hard to deal with, give them your BK attorney's phone number. Usually, this is not necessary.
