I really don't know very much on this subject because after my ordeal with the whole credit mess, I am just not anxious to have credit. I am going to let my negatives drop off, as they should. Another year or two at most. But, my age allows me that luxury.

I know that you need 3 snail mail reports, and you start with deleting any old addresses.

THIS IS WHAT WHY CHAT SAID ON THE SUBJECT

OPT OUT
Wait 3 weeks for the OPT OUT to take effect.
Call each of the CRA's (get an INDIVIDUAL credit report from each, snail mail) Tell them that the address informaiton on your reports is incorrect, that you never lived at..(guess that only applies if you have moved)
Wait 3 weeks, check on line to make sure your old addresses were deleted.

Dispute on line as "not Mine" any and all of your old accounts, judgments, etc.

Whatever is left over on your reports, redispute by mail, stating, "This is not my account, I never had an account for this amount with this creditor on this date". If any of the leftovers are also duplicates, state that also.

You should have a clear report in 3 months.
