I don't agree. I am not disputing anything off my CR, it is what it is. BUT, for others who have had hard times, and it really was not their fault that they could not pay, then I see a different story.

THIS IS THE REASON WHY........WHY CHAT SAID

DO NOT pay any old accounts past the SOL, it will HURT your credit as they will reappear on your credit report with a NEW date as "settled collection account" AND the "unsettled" balance will REAPPEAR with another CA as a NEW collection account.

Unfair, true, but paying a collection does not improve the FICO score. You will not be rewarded for your good intention.
