I did ignore them. I ignored all CAs. It worked well for me. I reduced stress, but was sued by 1 of 13 cards in the end. I filed bk at that time. TN is a tenants by the entirety state. If it applies to you. That means if this is an individual account, and you own a home with your spouse, it is 100% exempt from judgment. The % of charged off accounts that actually go to court is low. No guarantees. But I stopped paying all unsecured debt after an accident. There is a lot of psychology in debt collection. So, best not to talk to them. Let the machine pick up, watch caller ID, whatever works for you. You said you didn't know which credit card they were calling about, so if you are saying you have several charge offs, you might want to consider bk. Or just let the SOL run and if anyone sues, you can then file bk. That's probably the logical thing to do if you can deal with the stress.
