but they dont have to prove its valid. for a CRA, they only have to verify its their account and its with you. not documentation. dispute but i betcha it wont be dropped. let us know. paying it admits its yours. legally a Ca buys a debt contract, we do owe them. regardless what they pay for it. not fair but its the law. having them prove in court is another story..and totally diff than what they show a CRA to verify it. the only way legally i see it is to dispute it and hope they dont verify. with it so new..i think the chances arent good, is all. imho* verify its your account and validate it is 2 diff things.
