my view only..asking for validation isnt gonna help you and will tip them to get it for court. your best bet is hoping you showing up in court would surprise them and they couldnt prove the debt. talking to them gets one nowhere anyways. they will hound you anyways. second..paying is up to you..CAs are notorious for making some arrangement..taking money and then upping the amount and suing you anyways. signin a agreement will restart the SOL and nail you in court by admitting its your debt. just my 2 cents. refuse the arb and wait and see what they do next. also they cant collect until they validate and this will push some into suing if its in SOL. best to leave it alone and dont wake em up any farther, imho*
