Just from my own previous experience, I guess you could say I really didn't have credit (only one loan) when I married hubby. However, he had several loans and he was previously married. It wasn't until I went to apply for a cc (this a long time ago) and was turned down. I got my credit report and it showed hubby's credit information and showed that I was married to his ex wife! Talk about a major screw up. Took a while to get it straighted out, but it did with determination. What I would suggest to you or anyone is that before you get married get a copy of your CR and a few months after you are married to get another one (this for both couples).
