I don't know much about this, but I know that companies do exist that do asset searches for a PRICE.
Thing is, how much money can they spend on asset searches. They could find your home, but they would have to search in all 50 states.

That's one of the reasons we tell people not to talk to CAs. You could unknowingly give them info that would help them locate assets. Just a slip of the tongue. Hope Why Chat answers this. He has talked about it before, but I don't remember what he said.
