Yes a judgment can be sold, however, like any other legally recorded document an ASSIGNMENT from the seller to the buyer MUST be recorded.

If you have a mortgage, the language of assignment is already in there allowing the assignment without a new recording, (ISAOA/ATIMA) It's subsidiaries and/or assigns/as their interests may appear.

In a judgment, however the assignment language is not in there, so any sale or assignment must be recorded.
