Observer makes some fine points. Indeed, have an asset search run on yourself. Politicians running for office always assign someone the task of digging up all the dirt on themselves. Good countersurveillance.

Most enjoyable, reading Observer's extract of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Privacy Act. Sending a letter which cites this law to hostile creditors pretty much sprags them, from the sound of it.

Neglected to mention in earlier posting, as Observer's article points out, that you want to state that the Gramm-etc. law is under continuous and expansive legal interpretation.

In other words, the law is growing tentacles, the better to snag those giving even the appearance of doing bad things.
