Here's what you need to understand.

It all involves written contract causes of action
and the legal definition of a written contract for the purposes of SOL in your state to know when the legal remedies END for a creditor to sue you.

It is not what they might do, it is what your state's legal system permits them to do.
That is what determines your liability.

If your state's legal system defines a written contract for the purposes of Statutes of Limitations with a type of definition that the type of documentation that credit card agreements contain fits, then that is adequate for a written contract cause of action on a credit card agreement.

That means the Written Contract SoL determines the end of your legal vulnerability for the debt and their ability to get a judgment against you not the Open Account SoL.

This is only a problem in states where the WC SoL is longer than the OA SoL.

If they are the same in your state, then you don't have to worry about this.
