What is the SOL for credit card debt in California? My charge off date was 8/2002 account first late in 3/2001 They are threatening a lawsuit but could not verify the original contract with the OC. They stated they can file a lawsuit because by using the credit card I entered into a verbal agreement that makes me eligible for a lawsuit. They seemed confused and annoyed I wanted proof of validation. They responded by saying I have to sign a payment plan in one way or they will go to court validation or not. They claim they can take me to court without proving the vality of the dept first. Anyone know about Bud Hibbs? He says he can help.
