If it is still possible to negotiate with the OC, you can do it yourself. Almost certainly though this account has been sold and CapOne couldn't take your payments anyway. Sure they could "ask" CapOne, but will they do anything? Of course not. Once MRS gets your $500, they will know you're a "live one" and come back demanding more.

The CA people calling you are paid commissions and/or bonuses based on how much money they convince you to send. This creates an environment where they will say anything, true or not, legal or illegal, to get you to pay. Do not talk to them any more. They are only interested in tricking, abusing, and coercing you.

And never tell them anything about your financial situation! You want them thinking you have no money and never will. Otherwise they will hound you to the ends of the earth. By the time it trickles down to the likes of Arrow, it may be SOL time anyway.
