Hi, I just recieved a letter from a collection agency.
Claiming that I owe an amount of money which I believe has been paid. I really don't remember. It ws about 6 or 7 years ago. The letter goes on to state that the original creditor is willing to negotiate an immed. settlement for less than the full balance. The have now started calling my home. I really don't want to talk to these people, I understand they can be pretty awful! I just downloaded a letter of dispute, and a creditor discloser statement from
briefcase.yahoo/serenity breeze. Is this a good idea, or will this anger them? Is my nest step to get a lawyer? Please help!
Thank you
