You might want to talk with your loan officer at the credit union and inform him/her that you are in the process of filing BK. They really can't retaliate against you. In fact, most of the lenders are willing to work with you IF they know that they are not going to get stuck with a loss.
I know from experience that most lenders become very nervous when they receive notice of BK from one of their customers. You have to realize that when a lender who has loaned money on a secured debet, there are measures and precautions they must take to make sure that the BK proceedings properly address their particular loan.

It is always reasuring to the lender that the customer/debtor is honest with them.
