Show up for pre-trial. In the Florida "Killing Fields", the nice, loving, caring, sharing, capons who run the courts call it 'Mediation'. The 'mediator' is provided as a 'free service' by our loving county fathers.

The mediator is a 'free service' to consumers about as much as the Siberian Camps were a 'free service' to Russian dissidents.

You may have a mediator at the pre-trial, or maybe the plainstiff's lawyer will go it alone, brave soul that he is.

Say little, touch no one, put nothing in writing. Pre-trial is legal shorthand for 'our case stinks, hopefully the consumer will make it for us.' Tell them nothing. Is debt SOL? If so, file for immediate dismissal. Countersue for malicious prosecution. The swine suing you hope you'll slip up and make a damaging admission. They'll try to sweat you, make you nervous, then dangle a 'generous settlement offer' in front of you in hope you'll fall for it. Don't. Spit in their jaundiced, glass eyes. The stench of avarice emitted by these cretins could gag a maggot.

At the pre-trial, be pleasant. Talk about the nice, comfy chairs in the new courthouse. Be sure to compliment the lawyer on his elegantly tailored polyester leisure suit, complete with B.O. stains in the armpits. If a mediator is present, ask if he knows what the legal term, "Ba fan gul" means.

Above all, agree to nothing. Force their hand, make them show their cards. The lousy buggers. Each time you fight them back, they weaken, lose resolve, and die.
