Has anyone been sued by Performance Capital Management or had their wages garnished by them?

I don't know if it is all a big threat or for real. They did call personnel at my work and got my personal office phone and are leaving message there and on my home home.

They are demanding payment immediately or they will sue. Claim the paperwork is already done and this is no idle threat.

I have no assets but a car that is not even close to being paid off. I do have a good job and make about 51000 a year but I am a single mother and the numbers sound better than they are.

My credit report is a mess due to a divorce and a husband who ran up debts and left the country. I even had IRS problems for awhile because he forged my name on IRS documents. I won that dispute.

I suspect his debt is actually his but can't prove it. PCM stated they don't have my contract but will find it. The bill is 2100, 600 of which they added in interest. Will they go to court for this amount. Doesn't seem like much.

I am trying to decide if I should hold tight and call their bluff or if I should cave in and just pay it. I am slowly rebuilding my credit and don't want a judgement to ruin it again.

They did an asset check on me. I think they are after my car or my salary. I don't have anything else of worth.

Please help, any advice or dealings with this CA?
I thought they were bankrupt? So they can't pay their bills either....ironic really.

Please help,
