I have a collection on my report also from RJM and they are collecting for Fingerhut as well. The basically did the same thing to me. Fingerhut sold your acct to RJM and RJM then reaged the acct. I'm not sure if they are allowed to collect here, I'm in N.C. too. No, they cannot reage accts, this is not legal. My acct was also sold in 1998 as this was the date of charge off. I would go to www.creditboards.com and let the "experts" there assist you with clearing this up and the proper letters to write. They have certainly helped me. I am just beginning this whole process.
