If you have any credit cards (such as Crap1) or other business relationships that you have not opted out yet, they will call you. Opting out with the CRA's will only cover pre-approved offers generated by soft inquiries (promotional purpose) from various sources. If you have a business relationship with someone like Crap1 or Providian, you have to opt out with each one separately.

And opting out works. I've checked, and I have no new promotional soft inquiries on any of my reports since then.
