yes..most all of us have been there in some form. ignore her. its all bs. check to see if a suit was filed..i doubt it was tho..i think its all threats but check and make sure. warn your job to not give out any info to anyone and hand them a paper stating that you do not give permission for any info concerning you to be given out to anyone without your prior consent.(you dont have to go into details--just say if anyone calls to tell you as its illegal) i will mail ya later about ACEI. they can not garnish without a judgement and another court hearing to do the garnishment. tell her--good, do me first. lol. i like being so important to ya! lol lol. they think you care---of course you do but dont tell them that--or tell them anything as it all will used to collect the debt. how old is this account? mine r only 18 months now. they are scaring you to paying..and they will get worse. i tell em sue me and we will sort it out in court. cause i dont have the money. period. and once they have a hint you might pay ANYTHING..they will foam at the mouth over you. you will get great advice here and should someone give wrong info ..which at times we all mess up..another will correct it quickly and teach us. most here you can tell who to trust and who not to. we will step in and tell you if someone is not trustworthy. hugs*** hang in there. if you dont have the money, dont pay it. expect a call calling you a liar and all..ignore it. dont answer. ACEI usually shows on caller id. and dont read their website..you will throw up. big hugs***:) oh yeah, to garnish..is a court thing. you list all your exemptions your allowed in the state..and expenses. then its only a percentage of whats left they can even take at all. they told me they were taking my house...OKAYYYYY. lol.
