The government could really care less...those in charge are the super-rich without the common everyday needs most of us experience.

Of course, when the "little people" get together and stir up things enough to really influence the rich and their ability to continue their increase in wealth, they do a little something for the rest of us or at least promise to do it. Most of the time they just blame Congress or the "other" party for not being able to do it.

Funny how the rich man's son gets caught DUI with drugs in his pocket...Dad calls "someone" all records disappear...end of problem. Ordinary middle class man tries to get property re-zoned for a little business..No Way..but a little later rich man has no problem getting it re-zoned.

I have no problem with one being rich...but the laws should apply to everyone. It burns me up when I hear of executives of large companies receiving million dollar bonuses when 2000 of their employees are on lay-off!

A rich man that is lax in paying his bills and CREDIT CARDS has no problem getting the little problems with the bank or the CRA fixed...usually takes that one phone call to "someone"...
