Not only will it *not* report to anyone that you've checked your report, but the CRA won't even change blatantly INCORRECT personal information in your credit report.

Now, explain this: They will force you to call them and prove who you are by giving your name, current address, SSN and the like before they'll give you access to the report. Yet, when you get the report you may find all of the above incorrect, and they won't change it without an act of Congress. DUH.

But to specifically answer your question, pulling your own report will result in what is commonly called a "soft inquiry." It will show up in a report YOU have requested, but not in those pulled by others such as creditors.
