I'm not sure what you are looking at on your EQ report, but if the last payment and DOLA was 10/97, it's impossible for the 1st major delinquency to be 5/2004. 5/2004 would have to be the last payment status or reported date (the last time the creditor reported the account to the CRA).

EQ is terrible about using the status date as if it were the DOLA. Usually this happens when someone disputes a tradeline. Even when the actual DOLA is six years prior, EQ changes the status date to the day the OC or CA last verified it....with horrific results, since I *looks* to potential lenders as if the charge off or delinquency occurred on the date of verification.

This is just my two cents based on my own experiences, but if I were you, I'd wait until the end of October of this year, then dispute the Crap 1 tradeline as "obsolete - DOLA 10/97" and include a copy of their OWN report that you just pulled with the TL and DOLA circled.

The reason I say to wait is because if you dispute it now, EQ will most probably try to verify it and Crap1 will probably change the DOLA to today's date. :-0

By the way, the CRA's don't care what's on the other CRA's records. They know their own information is too munged up to trust another CRA's information.
