I was not thinking about violations at all. My strategy, when I spoke to CAs (always pretending to be my daugher) was that I didn't care what they did. I always said that I was judgment proof, had nothing to take. It's just psychology. If they are convinced that there is nothing to get, they will most likely move on.

If you start pretending to be your daughter, when you answer the phone, they can't talk about the debt to you. BUT, I always brought it up, saying something like "if you are a debt collector, my mom is judgment proof".....The conversatin would go from there, allowing me to talk freely, but they can't talk freely, because I am not me, I am my daughter!! Oh, that last sentence was a real winner.......I am not me, I am my daughter!!
