thirdly, once a account is CO or sold, it is not possible to pay the OC. interest and fees have accumilated to a staggering amount. check your SOL, by paying one so old you will update it on your CR and hurt yourself more than it is now. removal is very tricky and usually not successful at all. it will not help you to pay this now. at all. you offer to pay may also simply get you sued, if they refuse the offer and learn you have money. this was bad advice you got all around. sorry. it will reage that account to show it much more current on your credit.
