well, let us know as a mechanics lien is prolly diff than a creditors. make sure this place is homesteaded , not only at the tax office, but also at the court house. i think legal aid will help her..and i wish her much luck. i have some texas sites..but offhand i dont know the mechanics lien laws. you might search ..texas statutes..mechanics lien..and see what you come up with.

theres a couple to search...its not easy and hard for me to understand..but i wish you much luck and her also. i dont know SOL on this..what her payment may have done or if she signed something..nor do i understand what is on her credit. hang in there..:)check with the court clerk and ask..what is filed and what it means. if the judgement is from 1996..it is good for 10 yrs. altho i think...THINK..the company must enforce the judgement and not a CA. the original contractor must enforce it..i would think. let me know..what you find out on this.
