Casey makes a very good point. If they had the proof to begin with, they would have sent it to you in an attempt to avoid a court trial. And IL has a statute that states that the contract MUST be submitted with the complaint in a contract action, or the CA must explain why it was not available. (I used this one as a defense.)

If all they have is an affidavit, that's not enough.
