Keep copy of CR reports that show "closed by credit grantor" in case you need them for your State. I have letter from them telling me mine was permanently closed by them.

I know Whychat cannot give us "legal" advice, but he is very careful about his information. If he has doubts, he will tell you. With his wisdom and his constant study of all the States concerning debt, it is my hope that he will continue to assist me.

Please keep us posted as you go along and I will do the same. I sure know my creditor will have a real fight on their hands with my case whether I win or lose. Over the years my account has had many problems (I'm a packrat, so I have all the letters, etc.) so I will also force them to prove the account from day one (smile). Also, I have proof of considerable damages if a countersuit becomes necessary. I'm not concerned with ruining my credit because of our permanent disabilities, age and no need for future credit, so I would consider this fight an adventure.

It's funny that when I first started out (knew nothing about credit and consumer rights) I thought there was nothing I could do.
