This was not a violation of the FDCPA. Just like people (Collections agencies) - everyone makes a mistake. The bank could have told them that the check bounced and then recanted the mistake. They were just taking the neccessary measures to ensure prompt payment.

Remember a CA does not have to accept a payment if it they don't want to - the myth that if you pay something (even a $1) they can't touch you - is WRONG!!!!! - They don't have to accept anything except BALANCE IN FULL - if they see fit. Just pay your bill and be greatful that they don't want more.
