Can someone check my plan of action against Palisades Collection

First an overview of the story:
1. Palisades attorney firm calls me about 3 weeks ago, I play dumb and say "she doesn't live here anymore"
2. Palisades sends a letter threatening to sue me and actually has a complaint written up, saying I have 30 days to ask for verification etc...the only proof they send is a thing they typed up showing an amount which they call "Exhibit A" It's about $5100.00.
3. Today in my mail I receive a summons, that is stamped by my court, but no court date anywhere on the summons. The plaintiff is only listed as Palisades, providian (which was original OC) is not listed on summons at all, but on "Exhibit A" it says Palisades is an assignee of Providian.
4. I know the summons is real because it is signed by the Clerk of the court.
5. They are suing me before the 30 days I have to request validation, I live in Indiana, the state where Spears v. Brennan requires proper validation that is definitely not what they sent me.
6. I have the DV letters ready to go and they will go to the Post Office tomorrow and I will make sure that I get CMRRR. I am wondering if they are violating. I seem to think that Spears v. Brennan in part was about a CA that sued during the 30 day period, and the court found against the CA, but I will have to read more. My question is, do I just mail the DV letters which dispute the claim to the CA, their attny and with the court file my answer? It says I have 20 days to file an answer. I think they thought I really didn't live here anymore and would get an easy judgment. Well they won't. I will fight back.
