Actually, since they know you know your rights, they probably won't sue. CAs lie and threaten, but that's about it most of the time. If they do the "sewer service" that is cause to have a judgment dismissed. I would call the courthouses, in whichever counties you think you might be sued, and keep checking to see if anything has been filed. If they file in a county that is inconvenient for you, you can request a change of venue. Your ladyfriend (CA) has probably moved onto an easier target. Just my 2 cents
