I received a notice for debt that I never had. I contacted a woman named Tasha @ CAMCO and asked her to validate the debt. She refused to validate the debt. I then printed out the FTC report on CAMCO in which they were ordered to pay a civil penalty of $300,000 for their unfair debt collection practices. I mailed this to "Tasha" along with the section of the civil code that states that all debts need to be validated in order to be collected. I also mailed a "Cease and Desist" letter to this company of shady employees. I'm crossing my fingers that this will work. I have always had perfect credit and am not going to let this company ruin it. I also wrote letters to the 3 credit reporting agencies to look for debts that suddenly appear on my report from this company.
