I'm in SC and still within SOL I have not paid CC debt for 7 months and am just now starting to get the CO's. My question is when to send the cease communication letter. I am getting new CA's calling or sending collection letters just about daily now due to the fact that between my husband and I we have 15 accounts. Some letters are from just CA and some from CA/Attorneys. The ones I get from attorneys make me nervous, should I send a validation letter or a cease comm. letter or both. DO THESE LETTERS HELP or do they just PI$$ these guys off and sped up the process of lawsuits. Also why is it that some OC’s take longer to CO than others? I have an app. With BK Lawyer fri. but will not be able to file BK for awhile yet because I am behind on mortgage. Please help with the letter confusion
