SOL possible on credit cards?

The company is registered in Florida , which is bad news to me, lol.
Spoke with the State of Florida Regulations Department, their suggestion was to sent certified letter asking to proof debt within 30 days, or offer them a payoff amount. She was not too much into the SOL even though it has been over 8 years.
