A validation letter disputing the claim is appropriate when te account is NOT YOURS.

The SOL letter is appropriate to get rid of a CA when the account IS yours.

I have a good validation/dispute/cease and desist letter on my website.Remember if you just request validation, without DISPUTING the account, you will not get rid of it.
