Please turn off the caps. Hurts the eyes. Credit debt is civil, not criminal. The FDCPA protects consumers from abusive collection activity. Unless you were involved in fraud, you can not go to jail for not paying your bills. They are allowed to ask friends, relatives and neighbors where you are, they can ask for your current phone number and your current address. They are not allowed to discuss the debt with anyone but you, or your spouse.
