It depends on what is written about this in your contract. Both my contract and payment coupons (Wells Fargo) says that they apply any extra money sent to late fees and outstanding balances first, escrow account second, and principle last. If you can't find the answer in your contract or on your payment coupon you should call them and explain your situation to them and ask if they will apply any extra that you include with your regular payment to your delinquent payment and late fees. They will probably work with you to clear this up, it benefits both sides. They may try to work out a set amount added to each payment to settle the delinquency. Good luck!
