Read the link, read all of the links withint the link and you should be fine. YOU NEED TO ANSWER. The SOL in Pa is 4 years, look at your first 30 day late to determine the SOL. Truth is that if you appear and defend, with no knowledge of this debt with this creditor, for this amount of money at this time........the burden of proof is on the CA. CAs buy old debts for pennies on the dollar without documentation. You are judgment proof, Pa is nto a community property state, so they really can't touch you if they do get a judgment. Chances are good that they will not be able to validate anything and you can get it dismissed. Just don't admit to anything, and don't agree to a settlement. Once they figure out that you are an informed consumer and you know your rights, they will likely move on. They are looking for a default judgment. The bad thing about that is that it sits around for years and your circumstances could change.
