If it is a credit card debt the SOL is 3 years. If it is a "store" card like Sears or Home Depot,or an installment loan on "goods" like furniture or appliances or jewelry, it is 4 years.If it is a loan from a finance company or bank, with a specific time to pay it off, the SOL is 6 years.


Yes it means once you have passed that SOL the creditor may still SUE you, but you can FIGHT and win with an affirmative defense of SOL.
