I did absolutely nothing, I had only one contact with MCM, I answered the phone, was verbally abused, and ended up being sued. What triggered them was paying off our truck, not anything I sent them. I ignored all their letters because I knew the debt was not mine, most of their letters I just threw away without ever opening them. So you shouldn't kick yourselves, it might have happened anyway.
