Thanks Why Chat. My car is newer, a 2003. Not even half paid for and in a co signers name. I will switch it over to the co signer and just keep pay for it. I was using it build my credit. I am NOT talking to the CA. Haven't for three years. They got me at work where I have to pick up the phone. First time in three years they got me! I live in CA and SOL is up in six months on this account and two others. The other CA have left me alone since Dec 2003 when I sent a c and d letter. Only 200 dollar and 400 dollars. Not worth sueing I guess. The last two account are with Asset Acceptance (yuk) and they seriously reaged them. After SOL is up I am gonna start fighting them on the reaging. Got them off one of my credit reports. The other two stated AA has provided validation to them but they can't let me see it due to the law. After reading your posting I think I will wait six more months to do anything about it. Whew........I hope I am judgement proof. I believe I am. Just the fact that they sent this account to a collection attorney really unnerved me. CA is in california so I guess they could sue me.
But they won't get much I don't have much. Thanks for your post.
