I was just served today for a crdit card that was last payed on at least 5 years back (I am not scamming just trying to cover lots of other debts). The SOL in my area is 3 years. Should I be concerned and call the lawyer (suer) or not be concerned and call the lawyer to tell him the SOL has expired? Is it safe to say that if I did'nt make a payment in 5 years that the SOL has expired? If it has expired is it safe just to ignore the Lawyer? Also, can the suers garnish IRAs and Stock accounts?
