Two problems here. First of all, I never asked anyone for help, I received pre-approved credit cards in the mail. I had a good income and was in not in need of assistance. (had I been in need, I wouldn't have gotten anything). Second, I did not run and hide. I informed my creditors of my sudden loss of income. They were not willing to work with me. They're response to minimum payments as oppossed to higher payments was to raise my interest rates through the roof and in some cases lower my credit limit. Once card just cancelled. It was not behind, but I guess my overall credit outlooked was not good at that time. After about a year of paying minimum and getting nowhere fast, I stopped paying. When my circumstances changed, I rewarded my creditors by going straight to my attorney for legal advice. End of discussion. The people here have tried to work things out with their creditors. The creditors have no interest in helping those in need.
