you said something i agree with. "if we get credit, we should pay it back". trouble with that is..i used to think that. then life happened. suddenly we COULNDT pay it back. but instead of companies seeing this and having plans for it..and care for the customer who has paid them for 25 years, all they said was..oops, too bad. your screwed. now medical came first in this instance..children..it only is common sense. did they care? no. would anyone seriously --say --not set a broken arm to pay a credit card? most of us can barely pay the water bill! and we had perfect credit for 30 years, before you ask. by the time the interest and fees stepped in..and since paying a charge off does one no good..we were way past catching up without some lump sum coming in.(waiting on that ship, lol) and thats why..its easy to say..one owes it..one pays it, sometimes life needs priorities..and companies dont care. they become out of reach quickly...2 or 3 months and your so far behind, its done. and in a few months..30 years worth of good paying is gone. what little you had saved is gone for drs and meds and gas to drive to the drs..and life has changed. suddenly strangers are yelling at ya for things beyond your control. and this..poster sam and others..can and will happen to us all, should we live long enuff. long term care is unreal..millions in some cases. a newborn arriving premature is millions..and a car wreck? some drunk runs into you? your where we are right then. so,, while life sounds easy and simple..its not. and business doesnt see this. so most of us have no credit ..abusers ringing our phones and dealing with illness at the same time..its not fun. i assure you of this. we want to pay..we simply cant. we have rights..and we should stand up for them. thats all this is about. i would trade all this in a min and go back where i was, but life is life. someday..im sorry you will see it too, and its a huge shock. bad things happen to good people. its a fact. we had savings..its eaten up too now. we just didnt think. cause one cant plan ahead for this stuff..insurance runs out..bills are simply incredible..a lifeflight is $10,000. did you know most insurance wont pay for lifeflight? thats cash. what do you do? bleed to death so cap1 gets paid? sorry board. i just had to see if i can get through to those who dont get it yet, that we arent not paying on purpose..that it kills us to not be able to pay things. that for at least 7 years we are virtually ruined frm a act of life..and anyone can be. someone needs to see this. we never know..when that lightening will strike. odds are...it will be you someday.
