Truth is it is not my debt (it belongs to my ex husband) and I still would have just paid it off if I could have done it. I don't like to owe or be in debt to anyone.

I was left on Welfare after my divorce. I lost everything. In addition to the above my ex took me through a two year custody battle that I still owe money on. He was ordered to pay child support and my attorney fees. Guess what....he moved to Europe after living off credit cards he forged in my name for two years. No child support, no attorney fees paid AND he left me with mountianes of his debt on top of all this. I am raising our daughter alone without financial help and trying to deal with all his unpaid bills and CA's. Guess what Sam and all you others....you really DO have the wrong person!

I went to school. Got my master degree and have been working full time for the last two years. Am I in debt. Yes. But am I trying to make a change and get back on my feet. Yes. Fact is all this information I am learning on my site I will take to my clients as many of them are in the same boat with CA's. Many homeless because of credit reports that are bad and apartments will not let them rent. So it seems to me that CA's will put people on the streets to starve as long as they get their money. I have personally seen it.

I think it should be illegal to triple the amount owed or to even collect when the OC got the tax write off. Sets up a system of abuse.
