I think it depends on the size of the debt ,the age of the debt,and who the creditor is.Asking for validation on a recently charged off,large debt ,from say Discover seems like inviting a lawsuit.I know there is a big difference of opinion on this,but a lay low strategy until the sol runs seems best to me.There is no 'one size fits all" as far as debt validation goes.But this poster has already been sued,so the time for ignoring the creditor is past.He needs to act NOW.
